1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the JobFig website, private job-search workspace, browser extension, and related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described here and in our Terms of Use.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details, including your email address and identity details returned when you choose Google sign-in.
- Career information, including your profile, resume, work history, skills, preferences, work authorization, and answers you save for applications.
- Job-search activity, such as saved or dismissed jobs, application stages, notes, resume drafts, and notification preferences.
- Messages and feedback you send to us or enter into JobFig features.
Information collected automatically
We collect basic device, browser, IP address, log, security, and usage information needed to operate, protect, and improve the Service. We also store sign-in and preference data in browser storage so your session and settings work as expected.
3. How we use information
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Match jobs to the facts and preferences you have confirmed and explain the evidence behind those matches.
- Generate drafts and suggestions you request, while keeping final review and submission under your control.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our Terms.
- Communicate about sign-in, security, service changes, and support.
- Analyze performance and improve JobFig using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only as needed with:
- Service providers that support hosting, data storage, email delivery (including Resend), authentication (including Google), security, analytics, and AI features.
- Job sites and application systems when you choose to open, prepare, or complete an application. JobFig does not press the final submit button for you.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, JobFig, or the public.
- A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. AI features
When you request an AI-supported feature, JobFig may send the minimum information needed for that request to an AI service provider. Do not include information you do not want processed for that purpose. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect, so review every suggestion before using it in an application.
6. Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. One-time email links and sign-in handoffs expire quickly; active account records and job-search content remain until deleted or no longer needed.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so protect access to your email account and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use.
7. Your choices and rights
You can review and update much of your information in the Service, disconnect browser-extension devices, and sign out active sessions. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, and to appeal or complain to a regulator.
To make a privacy request, email privacy@jobfig.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. International use and children
JobFig and its providers may process information in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ. We use appropriate safeguards where required. The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as JobFig changes. We will post the revised version here and update its effective date; material changes may also be communicated in the Service. Questions can be sent to privacy@jobfig.com.
